Family Portraits
Family Portraits hold such a special place for us, we appreciate the wonder of the moment and we know how much these images will come to mean over time. Our little Mongrels (Mateo & Lucas) are growing up so fast, we joke that we'd love to be able to freeze them for just a little while, we want it to last a bit longer (Note, this feeling increased significantly after the diaper phase ended).
We have some really amazing locations for family portraits in Chandler, Gilbert and Phoenix. Our favorite, we nicknamed "Artisan Park", (though it's officially called something else) and it has all the elements for great family portraits: lots of trees and greenery, a nice lake, some big boulders and a wonderful hill that's perfect for those amazing Arizona sunsets we get.
While Artisan Park is popular for family portraits, there's nothing like the soft pastels and warm earth tones of our beautiful desert, especially when they're set against a striking blue sky. What you give up in being able to roll around on the grass, you get back in the natural beauty of the desert.
If you're looking for something fun and different, we have some bright, colorful urban locations, in Chandler, Tempe and Phoenix that photograph much grittier than they are. Think alleys and graffiti, fires escapes and wall murals.
And finally, you cannot go wrong with the tried and true, classic family studio portrait. Studio sessions offer the flexibility of time and season and with today's arsenal of technical tools, give us a lot more to play with than the standard backdrops of old.
