Halloween was so much fun this year, we had an absolute blast. Mateo decided he wanted to be Superman for Halloween and he also decided that baby Lucas needed to be Superman as well. So I told Mateo, let’s pick Spiderman for baby Lucas, to which Mateo replied, “But Mommy, I want baby Lucas to be as strong as me!” I guess Spiderman is not that strong after all.
And as the night wore on, apparently, there’s been a shift in the balance of power towards Neverland, as we witnessed a single friend of Tinkerbells (Silvermist) chase the dickens out of both Supermen- sending them running for cover, at times seeking out their mommy for help and protection. It wasn’t the proudest moment in the Superman Chronicles, luckily, the cover of night kept this unsightly incident from the blog.
Some decorations from around the neighborhood.

From left to right Pete, Mateo and Lucas. Yes that’s right, the photographer’s kids can’t look at the camera. Yoo hoo - we’re over here!

You had your shot Mom, I’m going…

Isabelle in her little doggy costume.

We all went trick or treating, the kids really enjoyed it this year. Pete, little sister Isabelle and of course our Supermen Mateo and Lucas. Strike a pose Lucas.

In our neighborhood a lot of people will leave candy out if they are out trick or treating, Isabelle and Lucas have figured out that the rule “only one” does not apply when additional candies are swiped without parental awareness. We had to monitor the trick or treating, no wonder their bags were fuller than Mateo’s and Pete’s.

There were some pretty cool pumpkins

This one was pretty scary…

Lucas and Me. Notice the slight chocolate coating around Superman’s pie hole, so strange, as we hadn’t started eating any candy yet. It’s a mystery.

Mateo and Greg

Our good friends Shanda, Rex and the twins, Norma and Yager

Norma, she is totally focused on Lucas playing. she is so cute!

Yager on Britt’s lap, isn’t he adorable?!

How many lolly pops can a kid eat ?! According to Mateo, how ever many you can get your hands on!

Greg and the Boys. They’re so good in front of the camera, aren’t they.

We did have tons of kids walking around and some of them were really fun, Lucas stared at these guys for a long time.

then finally he decided it was O.K. to give them some candy, after all they did say “Trick or Treat”

Lucas ate so much chocolate, just look at that face.

We were outside for a long time and for most of it, they just ran, up and down everywhere in their Superman costumes. It was so much fun.
At the end of the night Mateo told me, “Mommy, I love my Superman outfit” and I said me too, I love my Supermen!
