To the Letter

November 2nd, 2008

It’s a weekend morning, which means we’ve a gazillion batteries finishing up charging for weddings and equipment & checklists strewn about the studio. It’s also time for our little mess makers to clean up their room and arrange an overly vast supply of toys.

Mom & Dad “Hey guys, it’s time to pick up your rooms”
Mess Makers “Okay!”

And the results:

Lucas Picks Up His Room

Mateo Picks Up His Room

Time to be a little more specific, eh? At least they’re listening.

I Love My Supermen

November 1st, 2008

Halloween was so much fun this year, we had an absolute blast. Mateo decided he wanted to be Superman for Halloween and he also decided that baby Lucas needed to be Superman as well. So I told Mateo, let’s pick Spiderman for baby Lucas, to which Mateo replied, “But Mommy, I want baby Lucas to be as strong as me!” I guess Spiderman is not that strong after all.

And as the night wore on, apparently, there’s been a shift in the balance of power towards Neverland, as we witnessed a single friend of Tinkerbells (Silvermist) chase the dickens out of both Supermen- sending them running for cover, at times seeking out their mommy for help and protection. It wasn’t the proudest moment in the Superman Chronicles, luckily, the cover of night kept this unsightly incident from the blog.

Some decorations from around the neighborhood.

From left to right Pete, Mateo and Lucas. Yes that’s right, the photographer’s kids can’t look at the camera. Yoo hoo - we’re over here!

We all went trick or treating, the kids really enjoyed it this year. Pete, little sister Isabelle and of course our Supermen Mateo and Lucas. Strike a pose Lucas.

In our neighborhood a lot of people will leave candy out if they are out trick or treating, Isabelle and Lucas have figured out that the rule “only one” does not apply when additional candies are swiped without parental awareness. We had to monitor the trick or treating, no wonder their bags were fuller than Mateo’s and Pete’s.

There were some pretty cool pumpkins

Lucas and Me. Notice the slight chocolate coating around Superman’s pie hole, so strange, as we hadn’t started eating any candy yet. It’s a mystery.

We did have tons of kids walking around and some of them were really fun, Lucas stared at these guys for a long time.

then finally he decided it was O.K. to give them some candy, after all they did say “Trick or Treat”

Lucas ate so much chocolate, just look at that face.

We were outside for a long time and for most of it, they just ran, up and down everywhere in their Superman costumes. It was so much fun.

At the end of the night Mateo told me, “Mommy, I love my Superman outfit” and I said me too, I love my Supermen!

Tiffani & Eric say “I Do”

October 24th, 2008

Tiffani and Eric got married at the Biltmore hotel, it was a gorgeous wedding. With both families being from out of town, a Wedding consultant was key, and I have to say that Jen Thye from ImoniEvents does an amazing job at designing and coordinating events, this one was no exception.

Here is our beautiful bride Tiffany

And of course we have to show off the groom as well. Eric is a major triathlete, one of the Triathlons that he does every year is actually here in Tempe. He totally surprised Tiffani when he proposed to her right after crossing the finish line at the Tempe Ironman.

Erin & Michael

October 10th, 2008

Erin and Michael met through mutual friends, Erin was invited to a fire-breathing performance given by Michael, his resume includes fire poi, titanium staff , fire-breathing and glowstick strings (yes I had to go search the web to get the correct names), but did you see his resume? Of course Erin was super impressed with him and the fact that he was sooooo romantic (Erin’s words) was not bad at all.

They got engaged last September while on a vacation at the Caribean, and here is how it all happened. On their last vacation day at a candle light dinner by the beach a photographer came by their table and asked to take a picture (one of those pictures that they try to sell you afterwards), after the photographer took the shot as he is waking away Michael asked him to take another picture and when the photographer turned back there he was (I mean Michael) on his knee, ring and all, Erin was totally shocked, I believe she did say yes. Which brings us to the wedding day!

Erin and Michael got married last Sunday October 5th in Tucson at a gorgeous place, yep, Location, location, location… She definitely had that one right. Erin’s dress was beautiful, what a super super relaxed bride she was. The day went better than Erin and Michael had ever imagined, check out some of the photos that we got.

This was a beautiful bouquet with roses and orchids.
