Michelle & Colin

January 20th, 2008

Michelle and Colin had a great wedding at the Valley Ho, with lots of vibrant colors and a cool retro look the photos always turn out great. Michelle & Colin are such a fun couple to photograph. Here are some of the pictures from their wedding day.

The Valley Ho has so many cool retro photo spots.

Their ceremony was a bit different, with the circle theme throughout the wedding their ceremony was a perfect circle and everybody got to be on the first row :)

Bridal girls gone wild, the PG version. (And you’re welcome- we weren’t really going to post that photo on the blog, but remember-it’s still in the archives and we can change our mind at any time.)

And now, some of the happy couple.

Jason & Wendi, Troon North Wedding Part I

October 16th, 2007

Wendi and Jason had a wonderful wedding, on a great day with {literally} a busload of friends and family. Many of the guests were from out of town and arrived en masse, via a charter bus from their hotel. We had a lot of fun as usual and you just can’t help but smile all the time around Wendi- her smile is infectious, it’s like a good version of sympathetic yawning- you just can’t help it.

The day went by fast and easy, thanks to Erini and Jen (from Troon North and Imoni Events respectively) and the only surprises were good ones. Both the bride and groom had surprises for each other, though while Jason played his hand well, Wendi didn’t really play fair and left Jason at a competitive disadvantage (more on this in a later blog post, though we’ll give you a hint in this one).

Let’s start with a few details…

Kevin & Ashley’s Wedding at Grayhawk Golf Club - Part II

October 14th, 2007

Look at that sweet light hitting the mountains. Oh, and Kevin & Ashley too.

Artisan Image

And this is the part where we asked them to walk down the path. So much for following instructions.

Artisan Image

Would you look at these two. They’re grinning like newlyweds.

Artisan Image

See if you can detect a pattern in these next photos.

Artisan Image

Did you figure it out? Even with a burst rate of 8 frames per second, shooting inbetween all that smooching was a challenge.

Looks like we’ve got some competition.

Kevin & Ashley’s Wedding at Grayhawk Golf Club - Part I

October 13th, 2007

Alas, the fever has broken, Phoenix is once again awash is balmy sunshine and gentle breezes. It’s only about 10 degrees cooler or so, but really,  this is the kind of weather that draws us here and keeps a smile on one’s face for many months.

After a bit of a late start (despite someone promising that they wouldn’t possibly be late) everything kicked into gear and we were back on schedule in no time. The ceremony was quite nice and we kept taking photos until the sun left us.  Here are the first few:

Guess whose these are?

Artisan Image

As always, a stellar job on the flowers by Suzanne at Flora Europa

Artisan Image

Now that’s a door and so much easier than trying to hang the dress on the light fixture. (<-that’s a joke)

Artisan Image

Somebody’s happy.

Almost there, with a little help from Mom.

Time for the real thing, first steps down the aisle. Killer dress, eh?

Artisan Image

Why yes, she does look amazing!

Artisan Image

And then some.

Artisan Image

And everyone paid attention during Andrea’s “How to hold your flowers” demonstration. Well done ladies!

And of course, with two lawyers, there’s always got to be some paperwork.

Well now it’s official.

Doesn’t the Phoenecian have shiny floors?

Sorry sweety, it’s a rule, dinner first, then cake.

Daniel & Erin’s Wedding at The Phoenecian- Part I

October 10th, 2007

We must say, Daniel and Erin were the epitome of calm, cool and collected on their wedding day.  Things ran smoothly from the beginning, despite most people coming in from out of town. Here is the first round of pictures:

Shoes on the bed?

Erin looking radiant.

Artisan Image

Boy did we see a lot of this smiling stuff today.

Artisan Image

A stylish Daniel waiting for Erin.

Artisan Image

And we saw more of this than the smiling stuff.

Artisan Image

How’s this for relaxed.

Artisan Image

Pucker up!

Artisan Image

And a very happy flower girl.

Artisan Image

Yeah, again, they’re doing it again.

Artisan Image

Artisan Image

And a rather vibrant, fall boquet.

Well guys, remember that big lens that looked like a thermos. You can run, but you can’t hide.
